They raised their three children north of Huntington. She was a reading specialist in schools in Freeport and McHenry, Illinois and Huntington, Indiana. Edna was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, the honorary educational sorority of Delta Kappa Gamma and had volunteered at LOVE, Inc. She also served on the Winona Lake Town Council for a number of years. She was an avid Cub and Boilermaker fan.
