Always remember the great things that Dad did for you, the fun times, and that one "really funny" thing that still causes you shake you heads and think "I can't believe the dad that or said that, WOW! THAT WAS DAD!"

To The Zeigler Family

You have my sympathy. It was my pleasure to work along side of Danny and to know Marcia through him. I am familiar with the love of ponies and family that Danny and his father shared. I once read that an individual's ultimate
measure is determined by the love his family has for him; the degree to which the person has been of service to his fellow man; and finally- the service he has rendered to God. By that metric, the long life of Mr. Ralph P. Zeigler has been a success. May Almight God comfort you and your family.
Best regards.

Sorry to hear about the death of Ralph Zeigler. He was one of the Zeigler's who worked with me in the peppermint & spearmint fields. Of course, that was long ago. At the time of his death, we happened to be in our winter home in south Texas.

It is amazing how God gives you gifts. I am fortunate to be given the opportunity to be given the presence of someone who did not know the love of a daughter. I referred to him as 'Dad' at an young age even before my own recollection, I think that was the bond. If I had never known the God given father that I had been given, I would have never lacked for that figure knowing my Uncle Ralph. Hugs and kisses may not have been of public display, but more so been expressed in experiences that can never be understood by the simple bystander. Love that could only be elation to hear a fuel truck pull into the drive at the end of a long day. I learned you can not place a puzzle piece unless you are certain it will fit into the jigsaw puzzle, precisely. Do not approach Tony on his blind side. When we shoed the ponies, hold their feet securely. And watch out for that one, because he kicks...but that pony was never around long. The State Fair was never complete until we sat together for the finals of the horse pulls. And when you were thirsty we all drank from the one tin cup that hung on the water pump in the back yard. In the end it is not all we have obtained materially, but what we have been blessed with in the presence of God's given gifts. I am grateful for his gifts. Uncles are truly one of those gifts. Thank you, God.

Delores and family, May God bless you at this difficult time. Not only was Ralph a relative but also a neighbor all of my childhood on 650E and then just down the road on 300N. I remember him waving at us Zeigler kids while on bike rides, bus rides, driving his tractor or ponies down to our house or him and Delores driving by our house with a freindly hello or wave.
Bless you all,
Matt,Julie Zeigler & family (grandson of Clarence Zeigler and son of David Zeigler)

Delores and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. I am very appreciative of Ralph and his knowledge of one of the trials of his life. We used to live on 300 N when my son of 7 months was diagnosed with a rare virus, Guillan Barre Syndrome. When we brought Mason back home, Ralph (whom I'd never met before) out of the kindness of his heart came to my house, introduced himself to me and told me about his experience with the same virus. I was a young mother and it was nice to have a gentleman sympathize with me over such a scary time in our lives. The memories of him should be shared. It sounds like that was just the type of person Ralph was, a kind, true gentleman.
