William "Bill" Robert Hively, age 62, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital of IN, Fort Wayne. Born on September 17, 1946 in Noble County, IN he was the son of Guy R. and Evelyn B. (Smith) Hively.
Raised in Thorncreek Township, Whitley County, he lived in the Fort Wayne and Columbia City areas residing at the Anthony Wayne Service Group Home since 1988. Mr. Hively was employed as a factory worker through Anthony Wayne Services at Filmore Industries, Fort Wayne.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Guy R. and Ellen Hively of Columbia City; sisters, Cindy (Steven) Thompson, Ginger (Dan) Ford and Ginny (Mike) Rowland all of Columbia City; brother, Randy (Lola) Hively of Claypool. His mother, Evelyn Hively, preceded him in death.
Funeral service is Friday, August 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to service at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Certified Funeral Celebrants, Eddie P. Beagles and Sharon Brockhaus, will officiate with burial to follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Hively to the donor's choice of charity. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Cindy, Ginger, Ginny & Randy...
So sorry to hear about Bill, he was such an inspiration to our family..always enjoyed his company!! He will be greatly missed. Thinking of you at this difficult time...praying Gods peace for you.
