Tyler was one of the hardest if not hardest working young men I have ever had the ability to coach. He understood what it meant to give his entire heart and soul to something. He was self driven with absolutely nothing but the teams success at mind. Everyone who has had the ability to know him will be impacted for life in a positive way in everything that they do. I try and teach young people on a daily basis and have to admit that your son taught me more then I was ever able to teach him. I am however positive that Tyler made more of an impact on this world in his 17 years then any of us will ever make in our lifetime. He will truly be missed, but he will live on through everyone that ever had the ability to know him. Your family will be in our prayers through this trying time.

To the Andreas Family:

My heart and thoughts go out to you all. All the times I hung out with your family, you could always tell how good of a kid Tyler was. He was always friendly, smiling, had a good sense of humor, and if memory serves me right, he was also a good Euchre partner. If there is ever anything I could do for your family, please let me know. I am sorry that I cannot make it to the viewing.

Many tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought...
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side
When memory paints in colors true
The happy hours that belonged to you.

Sincerely,

There are no words to express the feelings that you must be going through at this time. We are asking God to give you strength, hope, and peace - not only today, this week, but in the many months to come. May you allow HIM to carry you on the days that are harder than others. Tyler was a great friend to Jacob! They definitely enjoyed their football, dunk ball times, and from what I hear, Tyler even made pre-calculus class fun. I just want to emphasize that we are here for you! It does not matter what time of day or night, we are here for you. We are praying and lifting you up, and will continue to do so in the days ahead. Bill, Michele, Austin and Joshua,

we were so saddened to hear of Tyler's death. What a loss for all of you and your families and for all of us who knew him. You and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.

May it comfort you to know that death cannot diminish the important ways Tyler touched your lives, our lives and the lives of others and that grief cannot take away the happiness we shared and that sorrow fades away in time….but love remains forever.

May you experience the Lord’s promise: “Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

Following is a poem that, as a sailing family, we have found consoling in times of bereavement with the hope it will be of some consolation to you.

Along the shore I spy a ship

As she sets out to sea;
She spreads her sails and sniffs the breeze
And slips away from me.

I watch her fading image shrink,
As she moves on and on,
Until at last she’s but a speck,
Then someone says, “She’s gone.”

Gone where? Gone only from our sight
And from our farewell cries;
That ship will somewhere reappear
To other eager eyes.

Beyond the dim horizon’s rim
Resound the welcome drums,
And while we’re crying, “There she goes!”
They’re shouting, “Here she comes!”

We’re built to cruise for but a while
upon this trackless sea
until one day we sail away
into infinity.

Bill and family.
As part of the ESARC family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was not blessed to have met Tyler. Having young sons of my own, I just can't imagine what you are going through. I wish your family peace and may God guide and comfort you through this tremendous loss.

I am so saddened to hear about Tyler's passing. Even though I did not know Tyler, he seemed to be such a terrific kid. Tyler will be missed by everyone who knew him as a friend or family member. Tyler will be missed but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. Tyler was an inspiration to his friends/classmates and most of all his teammates in Columbia City.
I hope your pain will soften soon with grace and fond memories.
May God give you his blessings and comfort you wih his peace during this very difficult time. I am sorry I can''t come to the visitation or the funeral.

My heart goes out to all of you as you deal with the loss of Tyler. I can remember his sweet nature and smile when he was in my classroom as a second grader. He was the kindest most considerate little guy. It doesn''t surprise me that he grew up to be such a great individual. I pray that our God will surround you with comfort and peace during this time and in the days and weeks ahead and may you find comfort in knowing how many lives he touched in such a positive way. To the Andreas Family,

We are sorry for your loss of Tyler. We share fond memories of Tyler, Josh and Austin camping at Leelanau Pines. The games played, the camp fires, and wonderful dinners and shopping. We remeber when Tyler was in the wheel chair and Austin pushing him down the hill and Tyler laughing. Tyler was fierce, loving and full of laughter. We fill lucky to have known him. We are so glad we got to see the three boy''s at Logan and Andrea''s wedding. Our deepest sympathy we know Tyler is wrapped in God''s arms now. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.
