What a wonderful person. I know she will be missed by many.
From the family of Violet, we are so sorry for your loss. It was our privilege to get to know Evelyn as Mom's roommate. We all grew to love her and we called her girlfriend, as that was how we saw her. She was a wonderful friend to Mom and to all of us. Her heart knew no bounds, as she embraced us all as family. She will forever be in our hearts!
I have good memories of Evelyn teaching Sunday School in the basement of Saturn. I can still see her smile and hear her laughter when I think on those times. What a legacy she left behind! My sympathy to you all.
When I think of Aunt Evelyn, I hear her laugh. She brought joy with her. i admired her talent and love of crafts at an early age and have many things in my home that she made or inspired. My love and condolences to the rest of the family.

Your mother was an amazing woman. We had lots of laughs and will miss her! It was an honor to get to know her.
Dear Wagoners and Hawkins,
Ms. Evelyn was my Sunday School teacher in the late 1960's... she taught me Jesus and the parables - all on the flannel board. She showed love and kindness, always with a bit of spunk and spirit. I am so very grateful for her role in my early life. When I saw her a year or so ago, I hope I let her know what God had done through her. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Sincerely, Julie (Davis) Good
My aunt will certainly be missed we really enjoyed her company and all the good times David-Debbie white
I just loved Evelyn. I enjoyed every Thursday she came in to get her hair done. She was always smiling and laughing. I would give her a hard time about wanting her coat. And she would pick right back at me. Yvette Jackson

I had the opportunity of taking care of Evelyn at Miller’s and she was absolutely the sweetest! It broke my heart when she gave me some perfume last year for Christmas. She had the kindest heart! She will greatly be missed! You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers!
I will never forget how kind Evelyn was to us growing up as her neighbor. I always loved going trick or treating at her house when she and Carl lived in the trailer next door from us across the field. She always made sure we got a huge slow poke which she knew we just loved. She was and always will be remembered as a beautiful loving human being that adored her family and friends. May God comfort you all at this time of sorrow. May your wonderful memories make you smile for many years to come.
