Donald G. Wilhelm

Donald G. Wilhelm, 78, of Allen County, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 with his daughter by his side. Born April 13, 1944 in Columbia City, he was the son of Edward and Genevera (Gaff) Wilhelm.

Don grew up working on the family farm. For over 40 years, he was a truck driver, with the handle "Tree House" and retired from Garrett Trucking in Fort Wayne. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Arcola. Don enjoyed being outdoors and relaxing at his cabin.

Don is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Clifford Sales; twin children he recently connect with, David Rosenbaum and Jennifer Stanley; sister, Janet (Ed) Claxton; brothers, James (Karen) Wilhelm, Doyle Wilhelm and Jerome Wilhelm; three grandchildren, Sam, Hailee and Liam; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Ella. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Wilhelm; mother, Genevera Arnold; step-father, Raymond Arnold; and grandson, Kane Kinley in 2016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 pm Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Arcola, 12305 Arcola Rd, Fort Wayne with a memorial gathering an hour prior.
