Jean Ann "Jeanne" Comparet

Jean Ann "Jeanne" Comparet, 62, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home. Born March 4, 1959 in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of Bernard and Juna (Woods) Smarowski.

She graduated from Fenton Senior High School with the Class of 1977 and Mott Community College. Jeanne would move to Fort Wayne, Indiana in the early 80's and worked at Fort Wayne Pools. After meeting Tom Comparet in 1985, the two would be married in their back yard on September 26, 1987. Jeanne had been working for the past four years with Benchmark/Anthony Wayne Service with Postmaster. She also had worked for A&H Labs and Westfield Insurance.

Jeanne loved riding on the back of Tom's Harley Davidson. They traveled all over the United States including a trip to Alaska on their motorcycle. She adored and loved her six grandchildren and enjoyed cooking. Jeanne was strong willed and will be remembered as a compassionate and loving woman.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Tom Comparet; daughters, Krystal Comparet and Danielle (Brian) Miller; grandchildren, Zaine, Nicolas, Jaiden, Jozlynn, Corgan and Kaylynn; brothers, Steve (Cathy) Smarowski and Pat (Kathy) Smarowski; and sister, Mary (Jeff) Virgin. She was greatly loved as a special aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Juna Smarowski; and brother, Mike Smarowski.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 between 12-4 p.m. at The Escorts, 1544 N. U.S. 33, Kimmell, IN.
