Martha D. Trahin, 98, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her home. Born October 20, 1922 in Allen County, she was the daughter of William D. and Mary C. (Hine) Pequignot.
She graduated from Jefferson Center High School Class of 1941. On September 27, 1947, she married Clifford J. Trahin. Martha worked at Blue Bell, GE in Roanoke and in St. Joseph Hospital's Cafeteria for nine years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arcola and the Rosary Sodality, volunteer with the Fireman Auxiliary in Arcola and the Farm Bureau CO-OP.
Martha is survived by her children, Mick (Jan) Trahin, Ed Trahin, Ronnie (Rhonda) Trahin and Deb Wolf; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents, husband, two grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews; Martha was the last survivor of her siblings and their spouses, Mary Hinen, Marietta Hinen, Harold, James, Paul and William Pequignot.
Due to the current COVID Restrictions, there will be a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola for the immediate family but it may be watched live on Facebook through DeMoney Grimes Live 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. A public Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given in memory to Masses or the Arcola Fire Department.
