Mary Earl

December 29, 1945 — April 11, 2021

Mary E. Earl, age 75, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 4:20 pm on Sunday April 11, 2021, at her residence.  Born on December 29, 1945, in Monroe, Michigan, she was the daughter of Arthur and Hilda (Johnson) Williams.

Mary attended Bremen High School, Bremen, IN.  She has been a Whitley County resident since the 1970’s and worked as a forklift operator at Dana Corporation, Columbia City until her retirement in 2009.

Survivors include her children Rick Earl of Churubusco, Lisa Smith and Curtis Smith, both of Columbia City and Michelle Jackson of Albion; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Carol Stevens of Cleveland, OH and Peggy (Lon) DeBold of New Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Earl, and sister Michelle Kolakawski.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday April 15, 2021 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior to service.

Burial will take place in Oak Grove Compton Cemetery, Columbia City.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Mary to Alzheimer’s Association.
