Stephanie J. Brommer, 56, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 10, 2022 at her home. Born February 25, 1966 in Plymouth, she was the daughter of John and Ellorine Rose.

Growing up, Stephanie had lived in the Plymouth and Knox areas. Many of her childhood friends and classmates knew her as Stacey and she enjoyed playing softball. Stephanie graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School with the Class of 1984. On August 5, 2000, she married Steven M. Brommer in Columbia City. Stephanie had worked at Farmers Exchange before working over 25 years with the Post & Mail and then for several years with Passages.

Stephanie was selfless, kind, loving, compassionate and never knew a stranger. She was very outgoing and enjoyed socializing. She loved spending time with her family and with friends when she was able to. She looked forward to the next family get together's and meals. She found relaxation watching classic television shows and games shows, solving crossword puzzles, coloring, going to the 4-H fairs, and just being outside.

Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Steve Brommer; son, Chris  Mullins; daughters, Kayla (JC Smith) Slagal, Abbey (Gage Stump) Brommer and Ashlee Brommer; grandchildren, Ashland, Brady, Kenadie, Staci and Sophia; brother, Mark (Peggy) Keller; sister, Beth (Robert) DuVall; mother-in-law, Shirley Brommer; brother-in-law, Randy Brommer; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Brian) Brazel; nephews, Matt Keller and Austin Brazel; nieces, Lyndsey (Jacob) Beard and Annie Keller; and a great-niece, Berkleigh. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Keller; father-in-law, Steve K. Brommer; sister-in-law, Julie Brommer; and nephew, Cody Brommer.

Visitation will be 2 to 7 pm Thursday, September 15, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, September 16, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City with Pastor Tim Grable officiating. Burial will take place at St. Catherine's Cemetery.
