Timothy D. Wiedman

Timothy D. “Tim” Wiedman, age 75, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 7:12 pm on Friday July 23, 2021, at his residence.  Born on June 30, 1946, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Donald and Gretchen (Kohlmeier) Wiedman.

Tim attended Fort Wayne Schools and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School, with the Class of 1964.  He then earned his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Indiana University, where he also took a liking to track and cross country and later ran in the Boston marathon.

Tim owned and operated Tim Wiedman Associates Insurance in Columbia City and was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.  He enjoyed playing the classical guitar, gardening, and was an avid University of Michigan Football fan.

Survivors include his mother Gretchen Fuhrmann of Fort Wayne; sister Dianne Mayan of Alberta, Canada; niece Trish Mummert; nephews Jeremy (Jennifer) Mayan and Joshua (Christine) Mayan; grand-nephew Lucas Mayan; grand-niece Jordyn Mayan.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Wiedman and sister Louann Wiedmann.

A memorial service for Tim will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior to service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Tim may be made to Concordia Lutheran High School or Lutheran World Relief.
