VIRGINIA E. FULK

Virginia E. Fulk, age 90, of Churubusco, IN passed away at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.Born on January 26, 1922 in Allen County, she was the daughter of Frank and Ethel Mae (Grim) Garrison.

She is a lifelong residence of Whitley County, with brief periods of time in surrounding areas.She graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1941.On October 11, 1941, she married Howard P. Fulk in LaOtto. She helped on the family farm until 1961, then was employed at General Electric in Fort Wayne, with periodic absencses to raise her family, followed by 10 years at Dana, Churubusco.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Herbert N.) Gaff of Fort Wayne; 4 sisters, Wiladene Shively and Eva (Gordon) Gilbert all of Churubusco; Neva (Herbert L.) Gaff and Shirley Coe of Albion; 2 grandsons, Kenneth (Angela) Fulk Jr. of Huntertown and Chad (Tara) Fulk of Albion; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard P. Fulk, son, Kenneth Fulk, Sr., grandaughter, Lisa Ann Kreiger, brothers, Ralph and Walter Garrison, and sisters, Elsie Mae Garrison and Genevieve Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
