Barbara J. Daniels

Barbara J. Daniels, 86, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 3:07 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor. Born September 18, 1932 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Robert T. Hull and Hawaii (Fry) Bartels.

Barb lived in Concord, Michigan and moved back to Whitley County in 1984. She attended Wolf Lake Schools and on August 1, 1959 she married Thurman J. Daniels. In 1987 she worked for the Whitley County Council on Aging and in 1998, she began working as a Nutrition Site Manager for the Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast. She had been a member of Eagle Quest Church, Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, Chapter NU Theta, AARP and the Eagles. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting.

Survivors include her children, Roger Daniels, of Georgia, Linda (Audie) Miller, of Albion, Mich. and Paul Daniels, of Hillsdale, Mich.; brother, Ron Hull, of Columbia City; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and expecting one more. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Donald Daniels.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Tim Scroggs will be officiating. A private burial will take place Tuesday at the Pulaski Cemetery, Michigan. Memorial gifts may be given in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
