Dawn D. Kilgore

Dawn D. Kilgore, 71, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born December 20, 1946 in Allen County, she was the daughter of Simon L. Redman and Wilma J. (Dilts) Barnhart.

She lived in South Dakota for seven years and in Michigan for 12 years before returning to Columbia City in 2002. She graduated from Larwill High School with the Class of 1965. Along with being a house wife and loving mother, Dawn had worked for Blue Bell and United Technologies. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Columbia City.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina Kilgore, of Columbia City; June (Tracy) Zumbrun, of Columbia City, Jane (James) Guiff, of Warsaw, Tracy Russell, of Columbia City and Amy (Matt) Leininger, of Columbia City; son, Richard (Heather) Herron, of Columbia City; brother, LeRoy Redman, of Florida; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darral Kilgore; brother, Ricky Barnhart and two infant brothers.

Services will be held at a later date at her church. Arrangements with DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
