Diana Lee Ranier

Diana Lee Ranier, 73, of Columbia City, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, with family at her side. Born June 28, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Jordan) Swanson. 

She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1969. Diana spent many years as a stay-at-home mom and a singer at her church. On June 7, 1997, she married Raymond P. Ranier at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia City, Indiana. Diana started as a cashier for Scott's Grocery Store in 1986 and over the years she then transitioned to her last position as a Pharmacy Technician at Kroger. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia City, Parliamentary Law and Literary Society, and of Right to Life of Northeast Indiana.

Diana loved to spend time with her grandchildren, help others in every way she could, bake, cross stitch, and read. She will always be remembered as an active church member with a servant's heart.

Diana is survived by her husband, Raymond; children, Stephen (Leigh) Kneller, Alyssa (Daniel) St. Georges, and Thomas (Britta) Kneller; grandchildren, Anna, Mary, Adler, Henry, Glen, Andrea, Kirsten, Lylah, Jessanna, Michelle, Melissa, and Isabelle; great grandchildren, Theo and Esther; sister, Debra (William) Bremer; and other extended family members. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Alvi (Arnold) Swanson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 pm with visitation from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church 2465 W. Keiser Rd. Columbia City, Indiana.
