Edward M. Maloney, 72, of Blue Lake in Churubusco, Ind., passed away at 11:19 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at IU Health, Indianapolis. Born May 14, 1946 in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Oda and Minnie Opal (Kalb) Maloney.
Ed attended Wolf Lake High School. Growing up he always enjoyed being involved with cars. He owned and operated Ed's Body Shop in Albion for many years and went on to manage the body shop at Trier Ford & Chrysler. On May 14, 1988 Ed married Monica Pressler in Cromwell.
Ed enjoyed anything that involved cars. Each year he attended the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival plus attended other car shows and cruise-ins. He also enjoyed golfing and loved animals, including his two dogs, Cuba and Gibbs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Monica Maloney; daughters, Lori (Kent) Cunningham, of Ligonier and Amy (Jay) Stringfellow, of Goshen; grandchildren, Trystan Stringfellow and Rachel Stringfellow; was expecting his first great-granddaughter, Nevaeh in a few months; sisters, Jean (Kyle) Cunningham, of Harper Lake, Virginia Sutton, of Wolf Lake, and Phyllis (Don) Chapman, of Columbia City; sister-in-law, Betty Maloney, of Kimmell; father-in-law, Leolan "Press" (Kathy Teegardin) Pressler, of Columbia City; mother-in-law, Beverley Harris, of Churubusco; brothers-in-law, Layne (Janine) Pressler, of Columbia City, Jim (Brenda) Johnson and Ron Johnson, both of Churubusco; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Maloney; and brothers, Bill Maloney and Bob Maloney.
