Jeffery K. Arnold

Jeffery K. Arnold, 64, of South Whitley, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2020. Born April 13, 1956 in Decatur, IN, he was the son of Warren and Glory (Lautzenheiser) Arnold.

Jeff graduate from Whitko High School with the Class of 1974. On November 3, 1979, he married Dorthea Schrader in Reno, NV. Jeff served in the United States Air Force from 1974-1978. He also served as Commander of AmVets Post 2919, where he had been a member for several years. He worked for Miners Stock Farm for the last 27 years as a herdsman and delivered newspapers for the Journal Gazette for the last eight years. He enjoyed working both of his jobs. Jeff enjoyed golfing, Indianapolis Colts Football, singing karoke, listening to music, and spending time with his wife, family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Dorthea Arnold; children, Nathan Arnold of Warsaw, Melody Arnold of Fort Wayne and Ty (Heather) Arnold of South Whitley; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Angie and Valerie; and brother, Troy Arnold. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jane, and nephew Eddie.

Although Jeff deserves so much more, due to the social distancing requirements in place, a private funeral for his immediate family will take place.
