John Wayne Rowe

July 7, 1976 — March 18, 2020

John Rowe, 43, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at his home. Born on July 7, 1976 in Columbia City, he was the son of James E. Sr. and Brinda F. (Collins) Rowe.

Growing up in Columbia City, John loved playing sports. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1995. He worked at Tri-Lakes Container/Welch Packaging in Pierceton and attended Victory Fellowship with his family while growing up. John loved spending time with his family and with his girls. He always looked forward to umpiring for the Columbia City Parks Department over the years. John enjoyed watching sports and NASCAR, was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and playing PlayStation and gaming with friends.

Survivors include his brother, James (Holly Ann) Rowe of Andrews; sister, Holly (Gregg) Porter of Columbia City, Jamee (Rodney) Borton of Columbia City, Krystlinn (David) Dean of Republic, Missouri and Nicole (Doug) Whiting of Peoria, Arizona; fiancée, Christine Shafer; daughters of his heart, Elizabeth Haggard and Dawn Shafer; and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Rowe on September 19, 2013 and mother, Brinda Rowe on September 17, 2014.

Due to CDC's large community gathering guidelines, a gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
