Linda Coulter

May 16, 1952 — December 18, 2020

Linda Lou Coulter, 68, of Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 18, 2020 at Parkview Whitley Hospital. Born May 16, 1952 in Wolf Lake, she was the first born of Edward F. and Patricia M. (Gray) McClure.

Growing up with her sister, Pam and brother, Bruce on Shriner Lake, Linda enjoyed swimming and being with friends. While attending Columbia City Joint High School, Linda met Michael Coulter. Michael had served in the Vietnam War and they fell in love. On February 8, 1969, they were married in Columbia City. Linda worked at Dana Weatherhead for over 10 years; was a homemaker as her children, Scott and Megan grew up.

Linda had attended Big Lake Church of God and enjoyed bible studies with friends. She loved to tend to her flower garden and had quite the talent for crafts. She used her seamstress skills in crocheting, sewing and making baby blankets for many family members and friends. Linda also had an eye for interior decorating and was a great cook.

With a heart of gold, Linda was very helpful, forgiving and easy going. She never held a grudge against others, wanted to please everyone and most of all, she had a great sense of humor to go with her nice and sweet personality.

As tragedy struck Linda’s life with the unexpected loss of her son in 2001 and then the death of her husband in 2002; Linda found happiness and love again when she met Art Miller. Unfortunately, Linda experienced more loss over the years with her daughter passing in 2011 followed by her mother and sister. During this, Linda never gave up on her faith or let it alter her personality.

Survivors include her significant other for the past 17 years, Art Miller; brother and sister-in law, Bruce and Brenda McClure; son-in-law, Bryan (Christina) Lee; step-son, Logan (Nicole) Miller; grandchildren, Jordan Coulter; Gage Lee, Nora, Able and Eli Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Coulter; daughter, Megan Lee; son, Scott Coulter; and sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Steve Loe.
