Margaret Ann Walters

Margaret Ann Walters, 91, of Columbia City, Indiana passed away at 11:50 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Miller's at Oak Pointe surrounded by her family. She was born April 13, 1934, to Robert D. and Elizabeth K. (Ziegenbein) Hyndman in Columbia City, Indiana where she lived all of her life in Whitley County. She attended McClellan Grade School, Marshall School and Columbia City High School graduating in 1952.

On December 27, 1952, Maggie married Paul E. Walters. She and her husband lived on the family farm in Union Township. She worked 27 years at United Technology as a shipping clerk, retiring from there in 1996. Maggie was an avid square dancer, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maggie is survived by daughter, Debra (Doug) Hosler; sons, Mick (Mary) Walters, Dave (Fay) Walters, and Bob Walters; grandchildren, Kurt Hosler, Tara (Joe) Menchaca, Paul Walters, Zack (Hannah) Walters, Marla (Matt) Zimmerman, Alex (Cassie) Walters, Ashley (Casey) Nash, and Brittney (Justin) Biggs; great grandchildren, Joseph Menchaca V, Olivia Menchaca, Madeline Menchaca, Tanner Hosler, Adeline Zimmerman, Paisley Biggs, and Owen Biggs; sister, Beverly Minnick; brother, Richard Hyndman; and companion, Robert L. Brumbaugh. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Walters; sisters, Norma June Harmon and Lela Jo Ann Hyndman; brothers-in-law, Jim Harmon and Art Minnick; and sister-in-law, Mary Hyndman.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with funeral service at 12:00 pm, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
