Steve Earl Lincoln, age 74, of LaOtto, IN, passed away at 4:23 pm on Monday January 29, 2024, at his residence. Born on May 26, 1949, in Whitley County, he was the son of Gerry and Mary (Simon) Lincoln.
Steve attended Roanoke Schools until their closing, then attended Huntington North High School and graduated with the Class of 1967. Steve worked general labor at General Electric before working as a solderer at BAE Systems until his retirement in 2004. He also was an owner operator of Steve’s Pro Shop in LaOtto.
Steve’s passions were hunting, teaching, building whatever he could, and babysitting Peyton. He was a member of IBO, NRA, and was a pro shooter for Mathews. Steve loved hosting league nights at his shop, being a pro shooter, and coaching pro shooters in world competitions.
Steve was a proud member of Crosspointe Family Church, Kendallville, where he was a part of the board, taught bible study, and helped with any maintenance that was needed.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Sue Ann Lincoln of LaOtto; son Christopher (Tanja) Lincoln of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Cody Lincoln, Owen Lincoln, Taylor Lincoln, Brett Embury, and Justin Embury; brother Dennis Lincoln of Columbia City; sister Cathy (Thomas) Harris of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Courtney Lincoln.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Monday February 5, 2024, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Funeral services for Steve will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday February 6, 2024, Crosspointe Family Church, 205 Highpointe Crossing, Kendallville, with calling one hour prior to service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Steve may be made to Crosspointe Family Church.
