Steven G. Phend

Steven G. Phend, 64, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away unexpectedly at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at his home. Born May 23, 1954 in Columbia City, he was the son of James "Dufty" and Edna (Mullendore) Phend.

He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1973. In his younger years, Steve enjoyed drag racing.

Survivors include his sons, Greg Phend and Mike Phend; sister, Jane (Tom) Sroufe; and grandson, Maximus Phend. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jim Phend.
