Steven G. Thompson

Steven G. Thompson, 68, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home. Born September 25, 1949 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Robert M., Sr. and Ellen M. (Coyle) Thompson.
Steven graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1968. On November 14, 1970 he married Cindy Hively in Columbia City. He worked for C&R Plating in Columbia City. Steven loved wood working and built many masterful pieces for his family. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Cindy Thompson; sisters, Judy (Mike) Coleman, of Troy, Ill. and Brenda (Kevin) Stanley, of Columbia City; brother, Tom Thompson, of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Thompson in 2009.
A casual memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
