Twinda Whitehead

Twinda Whitehead, 59, of Brookings, Oregon, passed away at 12:40 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Born April 16, 1962 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Marvin and Mavis (Peden) Whitehead.

Growing up in Whitley County, Indiana, Twinda attended Columbia City Joint High School. She was a member of Camelback Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. She loved her children immensely, loved the Pacific Northwest, and loved to hike the mountains and the Redwood Forrest. Twinda went through nursing school with three children and received her ASN to become an RN. She was the Clinical Director of Nursefinders from 1998 until 2002 and over the years had worked in Med Surge, Cardiovascular, Home Health Care, Psych, Correctional Health, ER, Long-Term Care, and Hospice. Twinda was a committed advocate for all and her kids know she is the best mom in the world!!

Twinda is survived by her children, Amanda Crouse, Andrea Godinez and James Crouse; mother, Mavis Lucille Whitehead, sisters, Brenda Myers and Scarlet Whitehead; brothers, Chris (Carol) Whitehead, Clark (Carol) Whitehead and John Whitehead; four grandchildren; lifelong friend, Steve Sample; and former husband, Jim Crouse. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Dean Whitehead in 2019.
