Victor Hite

Victor Hite, 84, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away at 6:40 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. Born January 19, 1935, he was the son of Frank C. and Helen (Thomas) Hite.

He along with his five sisters, JoAnne Hite Walters, Betty Hite Frink, Georgia Hite Nickles, Helen Hite Calhoun and Dorothy June Hite were raised in Rochester. For the past 35 years, Victor had lived in a group home in South Whitley.

After retirement, when his roommates would be off to work, he enjoyed the peace and quiet in the house to watching TV and listening and singing to gospel, blue grass and country music. He had fun playing cards with friends and visiting at Corner Cafe. He loved wearing his cowboy hat and never passed down his favorites- coffee, a Coca Cola, fish, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese or a plate full of bacon.
