Obituary

Jacqueline DeHaven, age 91, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 4:25 am on Thursday August 31, 2023, at The Waters, Columbia City.  Born on October 15, 1931, in Lagro, IN, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Olive (Kellar) Middaugh.

Jackie attended local schools in the Mount Etna area.  She was a homemaker for the majority of her working years, but also worked a few side jobs here and there.  Jackie enjoyed planting flowers, walking, puzzling, crafting, playing bingo, and wearing her festive dress attire for all the holidays.  She also was very kind, friendly, and always wore a smile on her face.

Survivors include her grandson Robert (Liz) DeHaven of Graham, KY; great-grandchildren Corey (Salena), Hali, Lilly, Mary, and Caleb; special daughter Sandy Fields.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles R. Middaugh and Olive Young, brothers Charles A. Middaugh and William R. Middaugh, and son Carl DeHaven.

Services will be held privately.
