Linda Sue Parker

Linda Sue Parker, 75, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, May 4, 2023 at her home. Born April 15, 1948 in Carthage, Missouri, she was the daughter of  Paul and Carol (Poindexter) Herrell.

She graduated from South Side High School in Wichita, Kansas with the Class of 1966. On August 15, 1986, she married Scott Parker. Linda had worked for Columbia City Utilities for over 35 years, retiring in August of 2014. Linda was loving, giving and caring. She found relaxation tending to her plants in the garden, was a wonderful cook, and she loved her dogs.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Scott Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Cory Hansen; sister, Joyce Logue; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Tom Fraser; her four year old golden doodle, Sammie Jo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Becky Parker; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Herrell.

A private memorial gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
