Sharon Kay White

Sharon Kay White, 77, of Cromwell, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. Born November 5, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, she was the daughter of John Earl and Pauline Elizabeth (Cochren) Hatfield.

She graduated from Huntertown High School with the Class of 1963. She moved from Allen County to Whitley County in 1975 and on July 2, 1988, she married Thomas D. White in Columbia City. In 1996, she and Tom moved to Cromwell. Sharon had been an industrial sewer for most of her work career at various companies including Flex Steel, Jomac, Sroufe and retired from Veada Industries. She then went on to work part time at Everything Pontoon sewing seats before fully retiring.

Sharon was loving, fun and very giving. She was always there for her children and adored all her grandchildren. Sharon found true happiness and love when she married Tom. They enjoyed life together and camping at Forrest Ridge Campground near Larwill. She also was very passionate about playing bingo! Sharon was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Warsaw.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tom White; children, Charlene (Mike) Sheets, Stanley (Kim) Geese, David Geese; Jennifer (Andy "AJ") Fedock, Chris (Denise) Geese and Jeremy  White; brother, Bob  Hatfield; sisters, Vicki (Jim) Pryor, Janet (Mike) Kettlebourgh and Joan (Doc) Holbrook;  14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Hatfield; grandson, Ian Geese; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie; brother, Dennis Hatfield; sister-in-law, Bonita Hatfield.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, April 8, 2022 at the funeral home with Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial will take place at South Park Annex Cemetery.
