Vivian Jean Betts

Vivian Jean Betts, 80, of Larwill, Indiana passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, in Sun City, Arizona. Born July 28, 1943, in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie (Zaboynik) Hass.

Vivian graduated from Berrien Springs High School, Class of 1961. On June 24, 1966, she married Leroy Betts in St. Joseph, Michigan. Vivian was a member of Larwill Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker who loved to attend dances, play cards at the Whitley County Senior Center, as well as, attend the 4H fair in Whitley County.

Vivian is survived by her son, Ronald (Kelli) Betts; granddaughter, Jillian (Caleb) Brailsford; sister, Betty Ann (Robert) Haimbaugh; brother, Jon (Robin) Hass; and companion, Doug Furst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Betts; and brother, Glen Hass.

Visitation will be 3:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, March 4, 2024, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, March 5, 2024, also at the funeral home.  Burial will take place immediately after service at Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill.
